Where Tradition Meets Modernity

The DPU has a campus with around 14,000 m² of university building space. Tradition and modernity converge here through the combination of listed historic buildings and contemporary architecture.

Students have access to an auditorium, lecture halls and seminar rooms equipped with state-of-the-art presentation technology, as well as a library with IT workstations and access to literature databases containing extensive publications.

Teaching, Science and Research

The DPU has established state-of-the-art facilities with excellent infrastructure for all pre-clinical and clinical practical training in teaching, as well as for the advancement of science and research.

The Athenäum – Medicine. Art. Culture. – located in Unterloiben in the Wachau Valley, provides space for scientific symposia, congresses, cultural and other events.

The entire DPU building complex is adorned with works of visual artists, each carrying important messages about contemporary events.
