The DPU's Digital Academy Phantom as the flagship element of the infrastructure!
Fit for the future: dental practice is becoming increasingly digital, and this is precisely where the DPU's pioneering new infrastructure project – the Digital Academy Phantom, developed in collaboration with global market leader Dentsply Sirona – comes into play. The aim of this project is to offer undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Digital Dentistry in Aesthetics programme a unique selling point in their practical training – through forward-looking technologies that complement outstanding theoretical teaching.
The project will involve the installation of 14 state-of-the-art all-round phantom units, featuring dental, surgical and endodontic elements, in summer 2026.
Thanks to the involvement of Director Stefanie Arco-Zinneberg, Prof. Rüdiger Junker (Dean of Dental Medicine) and Assist. Prof. Florian Pfaffeneder-Mantai, key initiators and project developers are behind the new, pioneering DPU infrastructure.
