The Danube Private University (DPU) and DPU Dental Clinic in Krems have created 140 jobs in Krems-Stein and invested about EUR 40 million in the establishment of the entire project, all of which has been realized without any state funding.
The roughly 630 students of dental medicine living in Krems full time for an average of six years generate about 30 million euros of annual education revenue for the City of Krems and the State of Lower Austria. In addition, 1,100 dentists are enrolled in one of the university’s career-integrated postgraduate Master of Science (MSc) specialization programmes and a selection of other dentists are enrolled in the Doctoral Programme (PhD) at the DPU, which also results in a significant economic boom for the region.
The DPU as an elite university has an excellent reputation worldwide, which also promotes the value of Krems as a university location and attracts interesting tourists (dentists, scientists, academics, industrialists, etc.). Its network is constantly being expanded by students, their parents, relatives and friends.
The DPU and its students integrate themselves into the Krems region and it remains forever in the hearts of those who study there.
