The more people pay attention to their lifestyle, the fewer downstream interventions are needed.

As the Governor of Lower Austria, I am very proud that we have one of the best healthcare systems in the world and a social safety net that supports those in need.

As part of our commitment to leading Lower Austria into a good future, the healthcare sector is of particular importance. We need a new healthcare structure that will be effective even when demographic developments hit us with full force. We will address this challenge with our Health Plan 2040+, a plan developed by our best experts with the aim to ensure the best healthcare coverage across the region.

A crucial point in this context is prevention and health promotion, spanning from nutrition to exercise, as well as mental and social health, as targeted by the “Preventive Activities” program of our “Feels Good!” initiative. The more people pay attention to their lifestyle in this sense, the fewer downstream interventions are needed.

In this sense, I welcome the Heracles-Hebe Foundation of the Danube Private University as an important step in healthcare provision, which also encompasses the areas of art and culture. It provides a sustainable bridge between scientific research and the living environments of our fellow citizens.

so that their work may bring healing and a future to people.
