Where the Traditional and Modern Meet
DPU has about 9,000 square metres (≈97,000 sq.ft.) of university buildings; this area is distributed over the old building and the DPU’s affiliated Dental Outpatient Clinic Krems in Krems-Stein as well as the nearby new building and the teaching and research pavilion “Biosciences”, creations of the internationally renowned architect Prof. Mag. arch. François J. V. Valentiny.
Students have access to lecture halls and seminar rooms with state-of-the-art presentation technology. These are furnished with works by visual artists that make important statements on matters of our time.
The DPU’s new building furthermore houses an auditorium for up to 300 people, additional lecture halls and lab course rooms and a larger platform for the Digital Technologies in Dental Medicine and CAD/CAM Research Centre, as well as a laboratory for biomedical basic research in the field of neurodegenerative diseases, a virtual consultation and treatment room, a library and further IT workstations for the students.
The university will also host international conferences there thanks its outstanding infrastructure and excellent international academic network.
